Star Wars Battlefront - Main Play Mod

This mod is only for Star Wars: Battlefront, by LucasArts and Pandemic Studios. It is NOT a mod for its sequel, and will not work with it.

The Main Play Mod is an effort to improve the gameplay of Star Wars: Battlefront through the addition of new units, new weapons and new 'modes'. It was made as a way of allowing Battlefront players to experience some of Battlefront II's units without having to buy Battlefront II. It was also made for the Battlefront players who own a Mac who, therefore, cannot play Battlefront II as it was not released for Mac.

The following is a list of changes specific to each side.

There are now different legions depending on the map you play:

Bespin Platforms: Shock Troopers
Bespin Cloud City: Shock Troopers
Geonosis Spire: Phase I Clones (with Heavy Trooper and Clone Commander instead of ARC Trooper and Jet Trooper)
Kamino Tipoca City: Phase I ARC Clones (Instead of standard Clone and ARC Units)
Kashyyyk (both maps): 41st Elite Legion
Naboo (both maps): 501st Legion
Rhen Var (both maps): Galactic Marines
Tatooine (both maps): 212th Attack Battallion (Cody instead of Regular Jet Trooper)
Yavin IV Temple: Phase II Clones (unaltered)
Yavin IV Arena: ARC Troopers

Weapons have been rearranged, these are the following weapons for each unit:

Clone Trooper: Blaster Rifle, Blaster Sidearm, Thermal Detonator, Concussion Grenade
Heavy/ARC Trooper/Clone Commander: Chaingun, Missile Launcher Thermal Detonator, Mine Dispensor
Clone Pilot: Commando Pistol, DN Bolt Caster, Health and Ammo Dispensor, Fusion Cutter
Clone Sharpshooter: Sniper Rifle, Blaster Sidearm, Thermal Detonator, Recon Droid
Jet Trooper: EMP Launcher, Commando Pistol, Thermal Detonator
Clone Commander (On Tatooine, there is the Clone Commander instead of the Jet Trooper, however, he can still fly): Shotgun, Commando Pistol, Thermal Detonator, Time Bomb

The CIS has the second biggest change.

The Empire has less changes than their 'predecessors'. However, there ARE changes made.

List of changes:

Stormtrooper: Blaster Rifle, Blaster Pistol, Thermal Detonator, Concussion Grenade (New desert and Phase III skins on some maps)
Incinterator Trooper:  Flamethrower, Missile Launcher, Thermal Detonator, Mine Dispenser (Replaces Shock Trooper)
Imperial Pilot: Mortar Launcher, Commando Pistol, Health and Ammo Dispenser
Scout Trooper: Sniper Rifle, Blaster Pistol, Thermal Detonator, Recon Droid (New prototype skin on Kashyyyk)
Dark Trooper: Blast Cannon, Blaster Rifle, Thermal Detonator

New additions:

Imperial Officer: Blast Cannon, Commando Pistol, Thermal Detonator, Time Bomb
Imperial Sky Trooper: Rocket Launcher, Commando Pistol, Thermal Detonators.

Skin Changes:

Bespin: Shadow Troopers (applies to Storm Trooper, Incinerator Trooper and Scout Trooper)
Kashyyyk: Prototype Stormtroopers (applies to Storm Trooper, Incinerator Trooper (has Katarn Armour) and Scout Trooper (has proto Scout Armor))
Naboo: Imperial 501st Armour
Hoth and Rhen Var: Snowtrooper Armour

The Alliance sees the least amount of changes.

Rebel Vanguard: Missile Launcher, DH-17 Blaster Pistol, Thermal Detonator, Mine Dispenser

The Rebels are swapped for Naboo Guard on Naboo in accordance to the 501st Missions
